Virginia Substance Abuse & Drug Addiction Helplines

In Virginia, the challenge of substance abuse is a significant public health issue. According to the CDC, 9.46% of Virginians have used illegal drugs within the past month this year. In 2021, overdoses claimed the lives of 2,626 individuals in the state. Statistics for the previous year are still pending.

Addiction's hold extends beyond Virginia to encompass the entire nation. Help is available, however. Presented here are three resources at no cost for residents battling substance abuse in Old Dominion. Addiction is an illness, and taking the first step towards healing is self-assistance. Our goal is to support that journey.
