Substance abuse is a serious public health problem in Ohio. According to the CDC, 12.03% of residents have used illegal drugs in the past month. In 2021, the state had 5,397 fatal overdoses, and data for the following year is not yet available.

Addiction affects people across America, not just within Ohio. However, help is available. This page lists three free resources that offer substance abuse assistance for people in Ohio.
